    ISCAR Introduces New Double Sided Ground and Polished Positive Inserts in New Geometries

    Highlights
    ISCAR introduces new double-sided ground and polished positive inserts that double the number of cutting edges for machining aluminum. These new inserts provide an economical alternative to conventional positive inserts.



    Following the positive market response to the initial launch of the CNGG in 2018 (NPA 23-2018), ISCAR is expanding the Alu-P-Turn line with new geometries.

    The new double-sided positive inserts TNGG, WNGG, DNGG and VNGG double the number of cutting edges of single sided positive inserts TCGT, WCGT, DCGT and VCGT which provide a great economical advantage.

    Features
    • The inserts feature a F3N-P or M3N-P highly positive rake chipbreaker with a polished top rake most suitable for machining aluminum and other soft nonferrous materials.
    • Chipbreaker geometries are designed to eliminate built up edge and guarantee a soft cut with low cutting forces.
    • The new inserts are clamped on standard tools intended for double sided negative inserts.
    • The new inserts are made of the IC20 grade and can be used for external and internal machining.
    • The Alu-P Turn inserts are also an excellent choice for finishing operations on titanium.
